Requirements

• Minimum educational qualification: Qualification that allows registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
• Registration with a professional council: Registration with the SANC as a Staff Nurse.
• Experience: Grade 1: None.
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
• Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Staff Nurse with the SANC.
• Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to work overtime and perform outreaches.
• Valid (Code B/EB) driver’s license.
• Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good communication skills.
• Self- discipline and motivation.

Duties

• Development and implementation of basic patient care plans.
• Provide basic clinical nursing care.
• Effective utilisation of physical and financial resources.
• Maintain professional growth/ethical standards and self- development.
• Take actions to improve quality of nursing care.
