Assistant Director: Plas Management Accounting Systems

Overview

Manage financial management accounting systems, provide end-user support, and maintain master data for the Department of Land Reform and Rural Development in Pretoria.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirements: Applicants must be in a possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Financial Information Systems / Informatics or related equivalent qualification (NQF Level 6).
  • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience working in system administration or management environment.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • Job related knowledge: Public Service Act.

Duties

  • Provide operational access, system improvements, user and support.
  • Provide 1st level end user support.
  • Maintain master data e.g.
  • Project set-up, master chart of accounts maintenance.
  • Ensure effective and efficient management of PUBLIC all financial and operational systems in accordance within Agricultural Land Holding Account (ALHA) Trading Account.
  • Maintain Chart of Accounts on an ongoing basis.
  • Log calls with services provider, coordinate work done by third parties technical resources and developments.
  • Oversee that correct change control procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain systems and provide or facilitate support and training to users.
  • Approve all modification to securities, e.g. new users, termination of users, access control.
  • Develop and maintain reports specifications, design, deliver to end user on time.
  • Manage systems development and enhancements.
  • Manage and coordinate the implementation of new project related to enhancements on all ALHA systems.
  • Ensure monitoring of developer/system provider’s account in line with the approved contract and Service Level Agreements.
