General Worker: Stores

Overview
General worker needed at the Western Cape Health Warehouse in Cape Town to load and offload stock, move goods, and pack orders.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement: Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
- Experience: Appropriate experience within a warehouse environment.
- Appropriate experience in handling stock in store/warehouse environment.
- Inherent requirements of the job: Physical ability to lift heavy boxes.
- Physical ability to operate loaded pallet jacks within normal limits.
- Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge in administration and rendering support services in a store or warehouse.
Duties
- Loading and offloading of stock on the trucks and vans.
- Move goods to and from different sections via pallet jack or forklift.
- Pack stock in boxes according to standards.
- Receipt of stock from bulk stores.
- Preparation of stock for courier distribution.
- Preparation of stock for collection by demanders.
- Maintain hygiene in the warehouse area.
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills.
