Administration Clerk: Supply Chain Management (STORES)

Overview

Administration clerk position in Supply Chain Management stores at Tygerberg Laundry, Cape Town, requiring a Senior Certificate with relevant procurement experience.

Requirements

  • Minimum educational qualification: Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics or Accounting a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with experience/competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post.
  • Experience: Appropriate experience in Supply Chain Management (procurement and stores).
  • Appropriate experience and knowledge in Public Sector Procurement and Supply Chain Processes and Procedures.
  • Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to work under pressure.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work co-operatively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience of procurement systems LOGIS, EPS, ESL and understanding of relevant acquisition management legislations and regulations.
  • Knowledge of SCM framework, AO System, Provincial Treasury Instructions, Practice Notes and Delegations issued in terms of section 44 of PFMA.

Duties

  • Sourcing of Quotations for Goods and Services via the EPS.
  • Procuring from contracts to ensure adequate supply of stock.
  • Preparation for Quotation Batches for the Quotation Committee.
  • Processing and expediting of Purchase Orders.
  • Communication/Follow-ups and Feedback with Suppliers and End- users.
  • Handling of the stores (issuing of stock to the end users and receiving of deliveries from the Suppliers).
  • Capturing of receipt vouchers and issue vouchers on Logis system.
  • Preparations for the IFS/AFS stock-take.
  • Safeguarding and packing of stock to prevent losses and damages.
  • Demand and Acquisition management.
