Internship: Communication and Marketing

Overview

An internship at the Unemployment Insurance Fund in Pretoria involving communication and marketing duties such as media relations, events and stakeholder support.

Requirements

• An undergraduate qualification in Journalism / Communication/ Public Relations/ Marketing Management/ Media studies/ Web Graphic Design/ Multimedia at NQF Level 6 as recognised by SAQA.
• No experience required.
• Never participated in any internship programme (for both public and private sector).
• Knowledge: Public Financial Management Act (PFMA).
• Promotion of Access to Information (PAIA).
• Public Service Regulations (PSR).
• Public Service Act (PSA).
• Skills: Branding Management.
• Branding Principles.
• Problem Solving. Presentation.
• Planning and Organising.
• Communication (both written and verbal).
• Computer Literacy.
• Innovation and creative. Analytical.

Duties

• Administer marketing and events for the Fund.
• Provide support in effective stakeholder relations.
• Assist in coordinating media relations and monitor the activities for the Fund.
• Assist in providing effective publications for the Fund.

The Department of Employment and Labour would like to invite qualifying applicants to apply for Unemployment Insurance Fund Graduate Internship programme, for the Financial year 2027/2028 to 2029. The Graduate Programme is meant to provide work exposure to graduates in their fields of studies.
