Overview

Internship at the Unemployment Insurance Fund in Pretoria supporting employee health and wellness programmes, requiring an undergraduate qualification in Social Work or Psychology.

Requirements

• An undergraduate qualification in Social Work/ Psychology at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
• No experience required (Never participated in any Internship Programme (both Public / Private sector).
• Knowledge: Employee Health Wellness Programs.
• Mental Health Care.
• Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Departmental policies and procedures.
• Skills: Counselling. Motivational.
• Problem Solving. Presentation.
• Planning and Organizing. Communication.
• Computer Literacy.
• Report Writing. Creativity. Numeracy.

Duties

• Provide support in the management of Employee Health and Wellness programmes.
• Provide assistance in the management of HIV/ AIDS, TB Programmes and chronic illness.
• Provide assistance in the management of Health and Productivity programmes.

The Department of Employment and Labour would like to invite qualifying applicants to apply for Unemployment Insurance Fund Graduate Internship programme, for the Financial year 2027/2028 to 2029. The Graduate Programme is meant to provide work exposure to graduates in their fields of studies.
