Internship: Research and Policy Development

Overview

Internship supporting research, policy analysis and administrative functions at the UIF in Pretoria, requiring an NQF Level 6 undergraduate qualification with no prior internship experience.

Requirements

• An undergraduate qualification in Development Studies/ Social Science/ Monitoring and Evaluation/ Business Management/ Business Administration/ Public Administration at NQF Level 6 as recognized by SAQA.
• No experience required (Never participated in any Internship Programme (both Public / Private sector).
• Knowledge: Policy Framework for the Government-Wide Monitoring and Evaluation System.
• Monitoring and Evaluation platform/ Principles.
• Monitoring and Evaluation Systems.
• Research Methodology.
• Skills: Report writing.
• Policy Analysis, Development and Management.
• Computer Literacy. Communication.
• Research Methodology.
• Analytical and Creativity.
• Problem Solving. Presentation.
• Planning and Organizing.

Duties

• Render support in conducting policy research and policy analysis for UIF.
• Participate in the development, monitoring and review of policies, strategies, frameworks and guidelines in UIF.
• Render assistance in administrative support to the Sub-directorate

The Graduate Programme is meant to provide work exposure to graduates in their fields of studies.
