Vereistes

• Minimum opvoedkundige kwalifikasie: Kwalifikasie wat registrasie by die South African Nursing Council (SANC) as 'n Verpleegassistent moontlik maak.
• Registrasie by 'n professionele raad: Registrasie by die South African Nursing Council (SANC) as 'n Verpleegassistent.
• Ervaring: Vlak 1: Geen.
• Vlak 2: 'n Minimum van 10 jaar se toepaslike/erkenbare ervaring na registrasie by die SANC as Verpleegassistent.
• Vlak 3: 'n Minimum van 20 jaar se toepaslike/erkenbare ervaring na registrasie by die SANC as Verpleegassistent.
• Inherente vereistes van die werk: Bereidwilligheid om skofte, naweke, openbare vakansiedae en nagdiens te werk, asook oortyd wanneer nodig.
• Bereidwilligheid om in alle sale te werk.
• Bevoegdhede (kennis/vaardighede): Vermoë om in die multidissiplinêre span te werk.
• Goeie kommunikasie en interpersoonlike verhoudings.
• Kennis van toepaslike verpleegwetgewing, beleide en protokolle van die Department of Health, Western Cape.
• Vermoë om aanspreeklikheid en verantwoordelikheid te aanvaar.

Pligte

• Help pasiënte met aktiwiteite van daaglike lewe (fisiese versorging).
• Bied elementêre kliniese verpleegsorg.
• Handhaaf professionele groei/etiese standaarde en selfontwikkeling.
• Effektiewe benutting van fisiese en finansiële hulpbronne.
• Effektiewe funksionering binne die multidissiplinêre span.
