Vereistes

• Minimum opvoedkundige kwalifikasie: Soos vereis deur die opleidingsfasiliteit en die South African Pharmacy Council (SAPC) plus Post-Basic Pharmacist Assistant-kwalifikasie wat registrasie by SAPC as 'n Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) of Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) Institutional moontlik maak.
• Registrasie by 'n professionele raad: Registrasie by die South African Pharmacy Council as Pharmacist's Assistant (Post-Basic) (Institutional) of Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic).
• Ervaring: Graad 1: Geen na registrasie by die SAPC as Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic).
• Graad 2: 'n Minimum van 5 jaar se toepaslike ervaring as Apothekersassistent na registrasie as 'n Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) by die SAPC.
• Graad 3: 'n Minimum van 13 jaar se toepaslike ervaring as Apothekersassistent na registrasie as 'n Pharmacist Assistant (Post-Basic) by die SAPC.
• Inherente vereiste van die werk: Geldige bestuurderslisensie (Code B/EB).
• Bereidwilligheid om oortyd en buite kantoorure te werk soos benodig.
• Bevoegdhede (kennis/vaardighede): Goeie kennis van institusionele apteekpraktyke en prosedures.
• Goeie numeriese vaardighede.
• Kennis en/of ervaring in die hantering van farmaseutiese voorraad veral in 'n kliniekomgewing, insluitend toepaslike koue-kettingpraktyke.
• Kennis van Drug Supply Management Principles.
• Kennis van Good Pharmacy Practice.
• Noukeurig en aandag aan detail.
• Goeie rekenaarvaardighede.
• Vermoë om as deel van 'n span of onafhanklik te werk.
• Vermoë om onder druk te werk.

Pligte

• Werk onder beide direkte en indirekte toesig van 'n apteker.
• Bestuur van geneesmiddelvoorsiening binne die fasiliteite, insluitend maar nie beperk tot korrekte bestelling van voorraad, ontvangs en ondersoek van voorraad, toepaslike voorraadbeheer en berging, rotasie van voorraad om verval te voorkom, akkurate hantering van verstreke voorraad, en toepaslike temperatuurbeheer.
• Aflewer en uitreik van akute en chroniese voorskrifte volgens Standard Treatment Guidelines en die WCGHW Pharmaceutical Code List.
• Uitreik van medikasie voorberei deur Tertiary Institutions en CDU (Chronic Dispensing Unit) en die bestuur daarvan.
• Versameling van alle apteekverwante data, om akkurate samestelling van maandelikse farmaseutiese statistiekterugvoer en prysbepaling van verstreke voorraad te verseker.
• Ondersteuning aan toesighouer en kollegas binne die Knysna/Bitou Sub-District, binne die omvang van praktyk.
• Verseker die lewer van hoë gehalte dienste gemeet aan die uitkomste van gehalteversekeringsaktiwiteite.
