Vereistes

• 'n Toepaslike Diesel Meganiese Ambagsertifikaat.
• Die bekendmaking van 'n geldige, onverstreke kode EB-bestuurderslisensie.
• Bereidwilligheid om produksiewerk, standby en oortyd te doen wanneer benodig.
• Die aansoeker moet bevoeg wees om met beperkte toesig te werk.
• Sterk tegniese kommunikasievaardighede in Engels, gekoppel met goeie tegniese verslagskryfvermoëns.
• Kennis van rekenaargesteunde tegniese toepassings.
• Die vermoë om vervaardigingstekeninge te lees en te interpreteer sal 'n voordeel wees.
• Kennis en ervaring rakende nakoming van die Wet op Beroepsgesondheid en Veiligheid in werks- en terreinomgewing is essensieel.

Pligte

• Onderhoud lewer vir meganies georiënteerde funksies soos diens, herstel, installeer en onderhou van konstruksietoerusting, waterbeheertoerusting en verwante infrastruktuur soos tipies gevind by damme en waterverspreidingsnetwerke (pompe, pype, kleppe, sluise, hulpdrywers, krane, watervate).
• Roetine-inspeksies van sigbare, operasionele en veiligheidsgebreke, beplanning van herstelwerk en verslagdoening van gebreke aan die Bestuurder.
• Verseker dat dienste betyds uitgevoer word en koördineer onderhoud en herstelwerk deur bestaande kontrakte.
• Funksioneer in streng ooreenstemming met toepaslike wetgewende en veiligheidsvereistes.
• Rekordeer daaglikse ritte, brandstofverbruik en logboeke vir beide voertuie en masjinerie sowel as dienslogboeke van geïnstalleerde toerusting.
• Verseker dat toerusting en onmiddellike werkareas skoon en goed onderhou gehou word en dat goeie huisvesting toegepas word wanneer op die werf.
• Help die verskillende onderhoudspanne soos benodig met daaglikse onderhoud, herstelwerk en konstruksiewerk.
• Bestuur, mentor en evalueer personeel se prestasie op 'n deurlopende basis.
• Die werk vereis reis na afgeleë gebiede en om gereeld oornag weg van die huis te wees.
• Standby en af en toe oortydwerk, insluitend naweke en openbare vakansiedae, sal van tyd tot tyd verwag word.

Preference will be given to candidates from the geographical area. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
