Kontrolering Diergegesondheidstegnikus benodig in die Wes-Kaap om siekteopsporing, -voorkoming, -uitroeiing en diersiektebeheerondersteuningsdienste te bestuur.

Vereistes

• 'n Gesikte Nasionale Diploma/B-Gradoos (gelykwaardige of hoër kwalifikasie) in Diergegesondheid soos deur SAQA erken;
• Geldige registrasie by die Suid-Afrikaanse Veeartsenykundige Raad; 'n Minimum van 3 jaar geskikte ervaring binne 'n Diergegesondheidsomgewing; 'n Geldige bestuurderslisensie.
• Bevoegdhede: Werkende kennis en begrip van die volgende: Uitgebreide veldwerk onder wisselende omgewingstoestande;
• Blootstelling aan aansteeklike siektes en biogevaarlike stowwe;
• Fisieke mobiliteit en vermoë om met diere te werk;
• Beskikbaarheid vir noodreaksie op siektes (insluitend na ure).
• Vaardighede in die volgende: Bewese rekenaarvaardigheid (MS Office);
• Kommunikasie (skriftelik en mondeling) vaardighede; toesighoudende vaardighede; ondersoekvaardighede; verslagdoening; analitiese vaardighede; interpreteringsvaardighede; interpersoonlike vaardighede.

Pligte

• Bestuur en implementeer die opsporing, voorkoming, uitroeiing en beheer van beheerde en aanmeldbare diersiektes en soönose;
• Bestuur 'n ondersteuningsdiens met betrekking tot diersiektebeheer, reproduksie- en produksiebevordering, monsterversameling en regtoepassing;
• Bestuur voorligtingsdienste oor diergegesondheid aan diereienaars;
• Hou toesig oor die bronne van die Komponent;
• Siektebewaking, Beheer en Uitbraakbestuur;
• Epidemiologie en Databestuur Regmatige Nakoming en Regstoepassing;
• Veeartsenykundige Openbare Gesondheid en Biosekuriteit;
• Voorligtingsdienste en Belanghebbendesbetrokkenheid;
• Hulpbron- en Spanbestuur;
• Administrasie en Verslagdoening.
