Medical Officer positions in Grades 1 to 3 at King Dinuzulu Hospital Complex in KwaZulu-Natal, providing HIV, TB and chronic disease management services.
Vereistes
- Medical Officer Grade 1: An MBChB Degree or equivalent qualification and current registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
- Experience nil.
- Medical Officer Grade 2: An MBChB Degree or equivalent qualification and current registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner plus 5 years’ experience as a Medical Officer.
- Medical Officer Grade 3: An MBChB Degree or equivalent qualification and current registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner plus 10 years’ experience as a Medical Officer.
- Minimum Requirements For The Post: Senior Certificate/Matric or Grade 12 MBCHB Degree or equivalent qualification Current registration with HPCSA as a Medical Practitioner.
- Experience in clinical management of HIV and TB.
- Knowledge, Skills, Training And Competences Required: Sound Clinical knowledge and skills in Internal Medicine Sound knowledge, experience and clinical skills in General Medicine, but especially in the following fields HIV&AIDS and TB management Experience in MMC.
- Communicable and Non- Communicable Diseases Good communication, interpersonal and leadership skills Computer literacy.
Pligte
- The provision of promotive and preventive services as per District Health Care package of services Use of clinical algorithms as per Clinical Guidelines for the management of chronic noncommunicable and chronic communicable diseases such as HIV, AIDS, TB and other minor ailments.
- Give in-service training and support to other health care professionals.
- Compliance with clinical governance requirements, such as appropriate record keeping and referral.
- Manage data/ information and work towards achieving HAST performance targets.
- Participate in the implementation of quality improvement programmes, including the Ideal Hospital Realisation and Maintenance (IHRM) framework.
- Ensure that infection control and health and safety standards are maintained at all times.
- Maintain client satisfaction through quality service, innovation and medical care by upholding the principles of Batho Pele and Patient Right and Responsibilities.
- To engage in community education and awareness programmes.
- N.B Participation in commuted overtime is compulsory.
- Overtime will be performed in family medicine/Accident & Emergency/Anaesthetics department.
- Please note that the facility management reserve the right to assign you to any location based on service delivery needs.
