- Bestuur die redigering van die Budget Review en Medium-Term Budget Policy Statement: Help die Hoofredakteur en eksterne diensverskaffers om hoofstukke en bylaes vir duidelikheid, kwaliteit, vloei, styl, konsekwentheid en toon te hersien.
- Werk met hoofstuk- en bylae-skrywers om feite te kontroleer en die akkuraatheid van inhoud te verifieer en sodoende ooreenstemming met National Treasury se redaksionele riglyne te verseker.
- Werk met die Budget Office en redakteurs om die redigerings, kopieredigerings en goedkeuringsprosesse vir die Budget Review en Medium Term Budget Policy Statement te bestuur en te verseker dat sperdatums nagekom word; koördineer skryweropleiding vir hoofstuskrywers en begrotingsanaliste ten einde die kwaliteit van die begrotingsdokumente te verbeter en National Treasury se poel skrywers uit te brei.
- Monitor die gebruik van kunsmatige intelligensie in die opstel van National Treasury-dokumente en ander inhoud om die onvanpaste gebruik van KI te voorkom.
- Help met strategiese boodskapping en reputasiebestuur vir die Direkteur-generaal: Doen navorsing, opstel, hersien aanbiedings, spraaknotas en ander inhoud.
- Koördineer die implementering van gereelde monitering en ontleding van sosiale media en ander mediadekking om geleenthede vir openbare betrokkenheid te identifiseer.
- Monitor media- en sosiale mediadekking om reputasiebestuur vir die Kantoor van die Direkteur-generaal te help en National Treasury te ondersteun om voor te bly by ontluikende reputasierisiko's en meningsveranderinge.
- Koördineer, doen navorsing en skep inhoud vir die Direkteur-generaal se sosiale mediabladsye en vir ander senior amptenare.

Successful completion of the Nyukela Public Service SMS Pre-entry Programme as endorsed by the National School of Government, available as an online course on https://www.thensg.gov.za/training-course/sms-pre-entry-programme/, prior to finalisation of appointment, is a requirement for all SMS positions. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. All qualifications, criminal and SA citizenship checks will be conducted on all short-listed candidates and, where applicable, additional checks will be conducted in line with the new DPSA Directive effective 01 April 2024.
