Oorsig

Beheer Ingenieurstechnoloog benodig in Gqeberha om tegniese dienste te bestuur, te verseker dat daar aan veiligheidsvereistes voldoen word, en tegniese handleidings vir die Department of Water and Sanitation te evalueer.

Vereistes

• 'n Baccalaureus in Tegnologie (BTech) in Siviele Ingenieurswese soos deur SAQA erken. 'n Minimum van ses (6) jaar se post-kwalifikasie-ervaring as 'n Ingenieurstechnoloog/tegnikus.
• Verpligte registrasie by die Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as 'n Professionele Ingenieurstechnoloog.
• Die bekendmaking van 'n geldige, onverstreke Code B-bestuurslisensie (behalwe vir persone met gestremdhede).
• Agetoonde ervaring in die assessering van infrastruktuurtoestand, projekbestuur, ontwerp en ontleding van waterverwante infrastruktuur, voorbereiding van verkrygingsdokumentasie en werksite-toesig van konstruksiewerk.
• Bewese praktiese ervaring in die mentorskap van gegradueerde interns en die fasilitering van opleiding en ontwikkeling. 'n Begrip van ECSA se professionele mentorskapsvereistes sal 'n bykomende voordeel wees.
• Deeglike kennis van kontrakadministrasie en projekbestuur, met bewese vermoë om tegniese tekeninge en ontwerpe te interpreteer en te hersien.
• Begrip van openbare sektor verkrygingsprosesse en finansiële beplanning en bestuursbeginsels.
• Kennis van toepaslike wetgewing, insluitend die National Water Act, Water Services Act, omgewingswetgewing, en die Public Finance Management Act (PFMA).
• Bekendheid met standaardvorms van kontrakte wat in infrastruktuurprojekte gebruik word.
• Sterk kommunikasie-, konflikbestuurs-, geskille-oplossings- en onderhandelingsvaardighede.
• Bewese vermoë in rekenaargesteunde ontwerpsagteware met spesiale klem op die vermoë om met Autodesk Revit te werk.
• Probleemoplossing- en besluitnemingsvaardighede is noodsaaklik asook die vermoë om in multidissiplinêre spanne te werk.
• Bereidwilligheid om buite normale werksure te werk en om wyd deur die Eastern en Western Cape Provinces te reis.

Pligte

• Bestuur tegniese dienste in samewerking met ingenieurs, technoloë, tegnici en onderhoudspersoneel.
• Verseker veiligheid in terme van statutêre en regulerende vereistes.
• Evalueer bestaande tegniese handleidings, standaardtekeninge en prosedures om nuwe tegnologie in te lyf.
• Verseker die kwaliteit van tegniese ontwerpe met spesifikasies en magtig/maak aanbevelings vir goedkeuring deur die relevante outoriteit.
• Bestuur projekte in terme van beste praktyk en beleidsvereistes.
• Onderneem toestandassesserings van infrastruktuur en werk die relevante databasisse by en produseer gedetailleerde verslae oor assesseringsresultate.
• Prioritiseer infrastruktuurherstelprojekte op grond van toestandassesserings.
• Onderneem ontledings en ontwerpe van hersteloplossings.
• Produseer die nodige ontwerpverslae, tekeninge en spesifikasies.
• Hou toesig oor herstelwerk op die werksite.
• Bestuur, hou toesig oor en beheer tegniese en verwante personeel en bates.
• Navorsingstudies oor tegniese ingenieurstechnologie om kundigheid te verbeter, skakel met relevante liggame/rade oor ingenieurswese-verwante aangeleenthede.
• Mentor kandidaat-tegnici.
• Verskaf ondersteuning aan strategiese en besigheidsbeplanning, finansiële bestuur, menslike hulpbronbestuur en algemene kantoorbestuur van die afdeling.

One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
