Vereistes

• Grade 12 met wetenskapvakke.
• Intermediate Life Support Certificate (AEA).
• Huidige registrasie by die Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as 'n Ambulance Emergency Assistant.
• Huidige registrasie by HPCSA (Geldige kaart sal aanvaar word, depositiestrokie sal nie aanvaar word nie).
• Ongeëndorseerde bestuurderslisensie, kode C1 met 'n professionele bestuurderspermit (kwitansie van hernuwing sal nie aanvaar word nie) Rekenaarsertifikaat – Ms Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint) sal 'n voordeel wees.
• Huidige registrasie by SANC.
• Geldige bestuurderslisensie – kode 8 of hoër.
• Slegs gekandidateerde kandidate sal verlang word om bewys van ervaring/dienssertifikaat wat deur die HR-departement geëndosseer is voor te lê.
• Vereiste kennis, vaardighede, opleiding en bevoegdhede: Sterke interpersoonlike en kommunikasievaardighede. Verslagskrywing.
• Kennis van die District Health Systems.
• Kennis van tersaaklike regulasies en beleide.
• Begrip van uitdagings wat die openbare gesondheidssektor in die gesig staar.
• Vermoë om doelwitte te vertaal en te transformeer in 'n praktiese plan.

Pligte

• Die ampseraars van hierdie poste sal aan die EMS-skiftleier: Emergency Medical Services rapporteer en verantwoordelik wees om pre-hospitale behandeling binne die omvang van Basic Life Support te verskaf en pasiënte na 'n geskikte gesondheidsfasiliteit te vervoer om die verlies van lewens te minimaliseer.
• Die ideale kandidaat moet: Oor kennis van die Intermediate Life Support-protokol beskik en EMS en sy bedryfstak verstaan.
• Oor kennis van Basic Medical Rescue beskik.
• Oor kennis van die Reëls en Regulasies van die Road Traffic Ordinance beskik.
• Oor goeie kommunikasievaardighede beskik.
• Oor praktiese pasiëntbestuursvaardighede beskik.
• Noodprosdures kan implementeer.
• Onder druk kan werk.
• In staat wees om in enige EMS-omgewing te fungeer d.w.s.
• Emergency Ambulances Obstetrics ambulance, inter-facility ambulances, communication Centres, Rescue of Patient, Transport services soos toegewys of ontplooi deur die bestuur van EMS.
• Buigsaam wees om na enige skif ontplooi te word soos dienslewering vereis.
• Beskikbaar wees vir Disaster Relief Emergency-ontplooiings nasionaal en/of internasionaal.

One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Medical Registrars - Training will take place at various sites for each discipline. Registrars may be required to spend time at various training institutions as required by the discipline. The site for the 1st year of training and subsequent rotations will be determined by the Academic Head of Discipline. Applicants are requested to apply separately for the disciplines of their interest. A maximum of three applications will be allowed which should be ranked in order of preference. One application for various Disciplines will not be accepted. Applications from applicants who are already appointed in the Registrar Programme will not be considered. As per HPCSA Regulations, the duration of Registrar training is 4/5 years, depending on the Discipline. All Registrars will be expected to register with the university for the MMED at own expense. All Registrars will be required to sign a contract which includes training and service responsibilities. Registrars will be required to complete Performance Agreements and assessments as stipulated by the Department. Appointments are subject to the signing of a contract which includes a service pay-back period. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments.
