Vereistes

• 'n Voorgraadse kwalifikasie (NQF 7) soos erken deur SAQA in Inligtingstegnologie / Rekenaarwetenskap / BSc of gelykwaardige kwalifikasies plus 3 jaar relevante ervaring.
• Ervaring in GIS-databasisadministrasie, GIS-webtoepassingsontwikkeling en/of ruimtelike analise en data-ekstraksie sal oorweeg word.
• Ervaring in die werk met Arc Gis of Arc lMS. Projektebestuur.
• Kennis van regeringswetgewing rakende ruimtelike inligting.
• Ervaring in die opvoedkundige sektor sal 'n voordeel wees.
• Analitiese denke en probleemoplossingsvermoëns.
• Uitstekende kliëntlaisonvaardighede.
• Deeglike spanwerk en menslike verhoudingsvermoëns.
• Vermoë om onder druk en gedurende verlengde werksure te werk.
• Geldige bestuurslisensie.

Pligte

• Bestuur, onderhou en ondersteun die departementele GIS-dienste.
• Identifiseer en verkry ruimtelike en nie-ruimtelike data uit verskeie bronne.
• Berei data voor vir gebruik in die GIS-omgewing.
• Gebruik statiese inligting en nie-ruimtelike inligting om ruimtelike data te skep.
• Stel verslae en kaarte op en druk dit uit op grond van die ruimtelike analise.
• Verantwoordelik vir besigheidsverslagskrywing en ruimtelike datapresentasies.
• Bevorder die gebruik van GIS en ruimtelike analise in die beplanning en monitering van interne ontwikkeling.
• Verteenwoordig die departement op departementele, provinsiale en nasionale vlak.
