Grondsmanpos by Bloemhof Dam vir die onderhoud van gronde, strukture en toerusting, wat 'n ABET-sertifikaat en basiese tuinmaakkennis vereis.

Vereistes

• An ABET-sertifikaat of relevante kwalifikasie.
• Moet kan lees en skryf.
• Zero (0) tot one (1) jaar se ervaring.
• Goeie interpersoonlike en kommunikasievaardighede, selfgemotiveerd en bereidwilligheid om te werk, Vermoë om onder toesig, onafhanklik en in 'n span te werk.
• Werk oortyd wanneer nodig.
• Kennis van tuinmaaktoerusting en apparate.
• Kennis van grassorgproses.
• Kennis van snoei- en trimprosesse en tegnieke.
• Kennis van die Beroepsgesondheids- en Veiligheidswet.
• Kennis van chemikaliegebruik.
• Kennis van onderhoudsprosedures vir doeltreffende masjiene.

Pligte

• Voer roetine uit wat verband hou met die onderhoud van strukture en konstruksiewerk.
• Beweeg en laai swaar toerusting op die staatswaterskema.
• Skoon en onderhou gronde en herstel gereedskap en strukture soos geboue, heinings en banke met behulp van hand- en kraggereedskap.
• Doen onderhoud in die tuin en ander strukture bv.
• Damwal, grassny, bome snoei, skoonmaak.
• Meng spuit of versprei kunsmis, onkruiddoders of insekdoders op gras, struike en bome spuit met round-up (chemikalie) en onderhoud aan die kant van die pad.
• Voer gereelde inspeksies op gereedskap uit en rapporteer gebreke.
• Verskaf behoorlike instandhouding van sywandelpaaie, opritte, parkeerterreine fontene, plantbakke en ander grondeienskappe.
• Onderhou bestaande gronde/tuine deur vir gras, plante en bome te sorg.

A pre-entry certificate obtained from the National School of government is required prior to the appointment. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance.
