Vereistes

• NKV-vlak 1-kwalifikasie of (Abet-vlak 4-sertifikaat of ekwivalent).
• Geen werkervaring is vereist.
• Kennis en Vaardighede: Vermoë en bereidwilligheid om onder druk te werk.
• Goeie kommunikasievaardighede sal 'n addisionele voordeel wees.
• Vermoë om in 'n span te werk.
• Vermoë om te lees en te skryf.

Pligte

• Voer roetine-padkonstruksie en -onderhoudswerkaktiwiteite uit in ooreenstemming met goedgekeurde werkprogramme en veiligheidsnorme.
• Voer potgatoplapping, skeursulsering, oppervlakbewerking en hergrindelering van paaie uit.
• Konstrueer, herstel en onderhoud padaardwerke, duikers, syafvoere, stormwaterafvoerstelsels, slote, uitlate en betonsluitse.
• Maak padreserwes skoon en onderhoud dit, sywandele, afdrainstukture, russtelle en ander padinfrastruktuur.
• Installeer, vervang, herstel en maak padverkeersborde, padmerkerings, afbakeningspale en ander padmeubelstukke skoon.
• Assisteer met die oprigting, herstel en onderhoud van padheinings, staalrailing, gabions en pylegging.
• Bedien en onderhoud handgereedskap, klein toerusting en gespesialiseerde toerusting in ooreenstemming met departementele prosedures.
• Beskerm departementele gereedskap, toerusting en materiale wat vir amptelike pligte uitgereik is, en rapporteer enige verliese of gebreke.
• Handhaaf 'n skoon en veilige werkplek en voldoen aan vereistes vir besigtheidsgezondheid en veiligheid.
• Assisteer met verkeersakkomodasie en ander padonderhoudswerkaktiwiteite soos deur die toesighouer aangedui.
• Aangesien werk deur die hele Gauteng-provinsie uitgevoer sal word, moet daarop gelet word dat personeel dalk na verskillende konstruksieterreine moet reis en naby die verskillende konstruksieterreine moet slaap.
