Oorsig

Die Suid-Afrikaanse Polisiediens soek drie-en-twintig sekuriteitsbeamptes by verskeie liggings in die Oos-Kaap teen salarislvak 3.

Vereistes

• Aansoeker moet bevoegdheid in die kernfunksies van die pos toon.
• Moet vaardig wees in minstens Engels en een ander amptelike taal.
• Moet 'n burger van die Republiek van Suid-Afrika wees waarvan dokumentêre bewys op die dag van die onderhoud gelewer moet word.
• Moet in besit wees van 'n Graad 10/Standaard 8/NKV vlak 2-sertifikaat/rapport (NKK vlak 2 soos deur SAQA erkend), waarvan dokumentêre bewys vereis kan word.
• Geldige registrasie by die Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA).
• Moet in besit wees van minstens 'n Graad C-sekuriteitssertifikaat of hoër.
• Nie verklaar as onbevoeg om 'n vuurwapen te besit nie.
• Bereid om vuurwapenbekwaamheidsopleiding te ondergaan en vuurwapenbekwaamheid te handhaaf.
• Tersaaklike kursusse in die veld van die pos sal as 'n bykomende voordeel dien. 'n Geldige bestuurslisensie vir minstens 'n ligmotor sal ook as 'n bykomende voordeel dien.
• Bereid om in ploegwerk en verlengde ure te werk.
• Kennis, Vaardighede & Bevoegdhede: Kennis van toegangsbeheerprosedures.
• Kennis van maatreëls vir beheer en beweging van toerusting en goedere.
• Kennis van voorgeskrewe sekuriteitsprosedures (bv.
• MIS, NISA, Wet op Beskerming van Inligting, ens.) en die gesag van sekuriteitsbeamptes onder hierdie dokumente.
• Kennis van die toepaslike noodprosedures.

Pligte

• Voer toelatingsbeheer uit deur positiewe identifikasie van beamptes/werknemers, besoekers en onderhoudspersoneel voordat hulle toegelaat word om die perseel te betree.
• Gee toelatingskaarte aan besoekers uit en ontvang hulle terug.
• Hou die nodige besoekerregister.
• Kontroleer voorsieninge, artikels en voorwerpe, waar nodig, voordat hulle op die perseel gebring mag word om te verseker dat die veiligheid van die perseel nie bedreig sal word nie.
• Beheer die toelating van voertuie in afgeheinde areas.
• Patrouljeer geboue en afgeheinde areas.
• Waak oor voertuie, werkswinkels en toerusting in die veld.
• Hou toesig oor skoonmakers en onderhoudspersoneel – SLEGS vanuit 'n sekuriteitsoogpunt.
• Kontroleer al die sekuriteitsuitrusting en geriewe en neem aksie, waar nodig.
• Bring enige tekortkominge of probleme ten opsigte van sekuriteitskwessies onder die aandag van senior sekuriteitsbeamptes.
• Verleen hulp aan sekuriteitsbeamptes in die uitvoering van pligte.

The Criminal Law (Forensic Procedures) Amendment Act, Act 37 of 2013 requires that all new appointments in the South African Police Service as from 31 January 2015 provide a buccal (inside cheek) sample to determine their forensic DNA profile. The forensic DNA profile derived from the sample will be loaded to the Elimination Index of the National Forensic DNA Database. Appointments will be made in terms of the Public Service Act, 1994 (Act No 103 of 1994) as applicable to the post environment. Persons who retired from the Public Service by taking a severance package, early retirement or medical retirement, as well as persons with previous convictions, are excluded.
