Vereistes

• 'n Senior/Grade 12-sertifikat op NQF-vlak 4 of 'n relevante kwalifikasie.
• Drie (3) jaar sekuriteitservaring.
• Grade B PSIRA-sertifikat.
• Die openbaarmaking van 'n geldige, onverlope bestuurerslisennie sal 'n bykomende voordeel wees. Rekenaargeletterdheid.
• Kennis van toegangsbeheerprosedures.
• Kennis van maatreëls vir die beheer van beweging van toerusting in en uit die perseel.
• Kennis van voorgeskrewe sekuriteitsprosedures (bv.
• OHS Act, Access Control Act, MISS, MPSS, Protection of Information Act en die bevoegdheid van sekuriteitsofficiere onder hierdie dokumente).
• Goeie luistervaardigheid en interpersoonlike vaardighede.
• Goeie kommunikasievaardighede (mondelings en skriftelik).

Pligte

• Toesig hou oor die sekuriteitsfunksies wat deur sekuriteitsofficiere/diensverskaffer (PSSP) uitgevoer word, en sorg vir naleving van departement-sekuriteitsbeleide.
• Administratiewe en verwante funksies; verskaf sekuriteitsverwante ondersteuning en bestuur alle beheerruimtebewerkings om departementbates te beveilig; voer voorlopige ondersoeke uit.
• Voer onverwachte besoeke of inspeksies uit.

All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. A pre-entry certificate obtained from the National School of government is required prior to the appointment. All shortlisted candidates, including the SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One will be a practical exercise to determine a candidate’s suitability based on the post’s technical and generic requirements and the other must be an integrity (ethical conduct) assessment. Candidates will be required to complete a financial disclosure form and undergo security clearance. Foreigners or dual citizenship holders must provide a police clearance certificate from country of origin (only when shortlisted). The Department of Water Sanitation is an equal opportunity employer.
