Assistent-direkteur om argivale rekords van die Departement van Verdediging te bestuur, dokumente te klassifiseer en lêersisteme in stand te hou.
Vereistes
- 'n Minimum van Graad 12 (NKR Vlak 4) en Diploma (NKR Vlak 6) in Rekordbestuur en Argiewe/Inligtingbestuur/Inligtingwetenskap met 'n minimum van drie (3) jaar praktiese ondervinding in 'n Rekordkantoor/Registrateur/Argief/Inligtingbestuur en Inligting-wetenskapomgewing.
- Spesiale vereistes (vaardighede benodig): Die bevordering van die Grondwet van die Republiek van Suid-Afrika, 1996, Die bevordering van die Wet op Toegang tot Inligting (PAIA), 2000 (Wet Nr. 2000), Die Wet op Verdediging 2002 (Wet Nr. 42 van 2002).
- Die Nasionale Argiewe en Rekordsdiens van Suid-Afrika Wet, 1996 (Wet Nr. 43 van 1996, Nasionale Argiewe Regulasies (126 van 24 Januarie 1997) en die Nasionale Argiewe-instruksies.
- Die Wet op Openbare Finansiële Bestuur, 1982 (Wet Nr. 84 van 1982).
- Die Wet op Elektroniese Kommunikasie en Transaksies, 2002 (Wet Nr. 25 van 2002).
- Redelike kennis van rekordkantoorprosedures, rekords- en argiefbestuurprosedure, veral berging en instandhouding van rekords.
Pligte
- Argivale rekords van die onderneming bestuur en navorsing uitvoer, alle relevante hoërvlak-wetgewing interpreteer en analiseer.
- Die titularis is verantwoordelik vir die bestuur van die DOD-rekordklassifikasiesisteme (dit wil sê DOD-lêerplan) deur die hoofkopie van die lêerplan in elektroniese en papiergebaseerde weergawe in stand te hou en by te werk.
- Rekords evalueer deur Dienste/Afdelings FSE's met spesiaalisaspesies te voorsien met advies en leiding met betrekking tot die vernietiging van rekords.
- Ondergesiktes bestuur deur 'n formele raamwerk vir beoordeling, opleiding en ontwikkeling vir rekordbestuurpersoneel op alle vlakke tot stand te bring.
- Bevoegdheidskader en ETD-program vir rekordbestuurambtenare ontwikkel deur lesings aan te bied, briffings en toeligtingsessies oor aangeleenthede in rekordbestuur.

Under no circumstances will photostat copies or faxed copies of application documents be accepted. The successful candidates will be subjected to Personnel Suitability Checks (criminal record, citizenship & financial/asset record checks and qualification and employment verification). Successful candidates will also be subjected to security clearance processes. The level of appointments is dependent upon, qualifications, relevant experience and research output. All shortlisted candidates, including SMS, shall undertake two pre-entry assessments. One must be a practical exercise, and the other must be an Integrity (Ethical Conduct) Assessment. Selection panels shall score both technical exercises as an additional criterion in the interview process. All shortlisted candidates for SMS posts will be subjected to a technical exercise and interview. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preference, emotional intelligence, and integrity. The competency assessment will be limited to successful candidates in the interview process only. Shortlisted candidates will be subjected to a personnel suitability checks (pre-employment screening) which may include social media profiles checks. A successful candidate will have to undergo a full security vetting while in the employ of the department and negative outcome shall nullify employment contract. Failure to submit the required documents will result in your application not being considered. Successful candidates will be required to disclose their financial interests within one (1) month of appointment.
